Privacy Policy
Effective 1 October 2026
In short: DizzyFlix has no ads, analytics or tracking. It keeps your Plex sign-in on your TV and only talks to Plex and your own Plex Media Server. The developer never receives your data.
This policy explains how the DizzyFlix app for Amazon Fire TV and Android TV ("DizzyFlix", "the app") handles information. DizzyFlix is an independent app and is not affiliated with Plex, Inc.
What the app stores on your device
- Your Plex sign-in token – created when you approve the app at plex.tv/link, so you stay signed in. It is excluded from Android cloud backups and device-to-device transfers.
- A random device identifier – generated by the app so Plex can recognise this device in your account's list of authorised devices. It isn't linked to your name or hardware.
- Smart collection settings – which of the app's smart collections you've turned on.
- Cached artwork – posters and backgrounds from your server, so screens load faster.
All of this stays on your device. Signing out from Settings deletes your sign-in token and smart collection settings; uninstalling the app removes everything.
Who the app talks to
- Plex (plex.tv) – to sign you in and to find the Plex servers your account can use. This is covered by Plex's privacy policy.
- Your Plex Media Server (or one shared with you) – to load your library, play media, and report what you've watched and how far through you are, the same as any other Plex app. If you own the server and turn on smart collections, the app creates and removes those collections on it.
DizzyFlix does not send any information to the developer or to any other third party. It contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or tracking software.
What the app doesn't do
- It doesn't collect your name, email address, location, contacts or payment details.
- It doesn't sell, rent or share personal information.
- It doesn't use your viewing activity for advertising or profiling.
Children
DizzyFlix is not directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them. What content is available is controlled by the Plex account and server it's connected to.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time from Settings, revoke the app's access from the authorised devices page of your Plex account, or uninstall the app. Because the developer holds no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete – your watch history lives on your Plex server.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
